CONSTANCE’s debut single, “doll,” marks her first release with Warner Music Hong Kong—and her very first step into the spotlight at just 20 years old. The track is co-written with Ernest Choi, a young esteemed songwriter and producer known for his collaborations with Leah Dou. Together, they craft a portrait of breaking free from the grip of a toxic, manipulative relationship.
Written in English, “doll” is a raw and reflective exploration of heartbreak and self-liberation. The lyrics—haunted by imagery of puppeteers and a heart turned to stone—capture the pain of being controlled by a “treacherous creature” and discarded, yet also the defiant act of reclaiming one’s autonomy.
